Why did my cost increase and what can I do?

One reason you may be seeing a cost increase is Pennie wasn’t able to check your income information.  You need to give Pennie consent to check your income information and provide you with the financial savings you are eligible for.  Good news… this is an easy fix.

    1. Log in to your Pennie account
    2. Update your income – make sure your 2027 Pennie application includes the correct amount of income you expect your household to make throughout the year.
    3. Navigate to the “Sign and Submit” page on your Pennie application and check the box to allow Pennie “to check my information”.
    4. Submit your updated application

How do I pay my monthly bill?
All monthly payments should be paid to your health insurance company. Health insurance companies handle payments differently. Follow the instructions from your health insurance company about how and when to make your payment. You may be able to pay online.

NOTE: Pennie cannot answer billing questions. All billing matters are managed by your health insurance company and all questions should be directed to them. If you have recently enrolled, it may take up to one week for your new health insurance company to process your new coverage.

How do I check the status of my enrollment?
How do I check the status of my enrollment?

Once you enroll, the status of your enrollment can be found on your dashboard within your Pennie account.  If the status says “pending” that means that your enrollment is being processed.  You have coverage. This processing step finalizes your enrollment and can take up to 7 – 10 business days. When processing time is completed your enrollment status will change to “confirmed”.

How do I claim my Pennie account?
How do I claim my Pennie account?

To claim your Pennie account, click “Get Covered” at the top of the page, then click “Log in to existing account” and enter your access code. This access code is provided in the notice you received from Pennie. You can also input your social security number (SSN) under the SSN tab if you do not have your access code.

If you are unable to find your access code or cannot enter your SSN, please contact Pennie Customer Service for assistance at 844-844-8040.

NOTE: You will receive an access code if you are found ineligible for Medicaid and are transferred to Pennie. This code will be included in your notice from Pennie.
