Other programs and services
See below for more information on several different programs available to eligible Pennsylvanians.
Medical Assistance (MA), also known as Medicaid, pays for health care services for eligible individuals. There are different ways to apply for MA. Please choose the option that suits you best. If you do not know if you are eligible, you can still apply.
Medicare is a federal health insurance program that provides benefits to American citizens and permanent legal residents (of at least five continuous years) aged 65 and older, or who have a qualifying disability or illness.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Pennsylvanians buy food. People in eligible low-income households can obtain more nutritious diets with SNAP increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets.

Pennie is not currently operating a SHOP program, but there are many agents and brokers available to help you understand your options for small group coverage. Call the Pennie Contact Center at 1-844-844-8040 to get connected to an agent or broker in your area.
